The pStyle is a plastic device that allows women, nonbinary folks, and trans men to pee standing up without undressing. It is a simple design that works exceptionally well. Because it is made of rigid plastic, the pStyle is easily maneuvered through clothing and properly positioned. The rounded back edge is used to wipe with so there are no drips! The pStyle can be cleaned with soap and water, wet wipes, or shaken vigorously and washed at the next convenient time.

More detailed cleaning info here.

Please note that the pStyle works well for many adults and children. Due to the diversity of human bodies, it cannot work for ALL people. If you have concerns about the size of the pStyle and whether it would work for you, please contact us

Maneuver the pStyle through your clothing and place it so the widest part is centered under your urethra. Check to be sure clothing is not inside the cup of the pStyle. Tilt the open end down, relax, and pee. After you finish peeing, wait a moment, then pull the pStyle slowly forward with a firm upward pressure to remove the remaining drops.

Shake vigorously or rinse with water and store in a secure place. If water is not available, wash your pStyle at the next convenient time or carry sanitary wipes. The pStyle is dishwasher safe.

Most users have success the first time they try the pStyle. For some it takes a little practice. You can perfect your technique in the shower.

Can people with physical issues or wheelchairs use the pStyle?

Many people with injuries or physical issues have great success with the pStyle. If you are on crutches, can’t sit on a public toilet after a hip replacement, or just have a hard time getting up and down due to painful knees it will be very useful.

We have heard positive reports from people who can’t use public restrooms due to chemical sensitivity or phobias and people with a frequent need to urinate due to pregnancy or illness.

People who use wheelchairs have varied success. You need to be able to get to the front of the chair and get the pStyle under your body in order for it to work.

If you have questions please contact us.

How do I avoid getting splatter on my shoes / splashback in a toilet.

Take a wide stance. Avoid peeing onto a hard surface such as asphalt or compacted dirt. Aim for a vertical surface. Aim onto a surface that is lower than your shoes.

In a toilet, alter the angle of your pee stream so that it hits the wall of the toilet/urinal at a gradual angle; the closer to 90 degrees, the worse the splashback will be. You can also lay down a piece of toilet paper and aim for that.

Check out this video on the fluid dynamics of splashback for more info.

Can I use the pStyle in a car?

Never drive and pStyle at the same time. Determined passengers may be able to pull it off. Best practice is to find a safe place to pull over and use the pStyle while the vehicle is not in motion.

I’m having trouble using the pStyle. What should I do?

First re-read the instructions. You may not be placing the pStyle far back enough. The ideal spot for the back end is just forward of the perineum. Make sure you are tilting it downward and not tipping it to the side. Check to see that clothing is not inside the cup.

If you are still having trouble you are welcome to contact us. with questions. We will try our best to help you figure out how to have success.

Who uses the pStyle?

While women are the primary users they are not the only ones who benefit. Everyone wins when someone close to them has an easier time peeing. Non Binary folks and trans men might use the pStyle. Cis gendered men might use a pStyle if they have a medical condition that interferes with their ability to stand up and pee.

Can children use the pStyle?

We have had reports of successful pStyle use from parents of children as young as three. Practice in the shower is recommended.

    pStyle

Posted by Paige N on 17th Sep 2020

I invited a friend to hike the San Juan Mountains with me last summer. She came sporting an interesting device called the pStyle and told me it changed her hiking! She could take her nature breaks more quickly without taking off the back pack and squatting. Well, I can squat without removing the back pack so smiled, said cool, and went on our way. After our week, I received my own in the mail as a thank you gift. OK, I thought. I'll give it a try. Works well! And in a variety of situations! I found using the pStyle while hiking was not the only purpose. If I have to stop on the side of the road because all bathrooms are closed due to Covid, I use my pStyle. I place it in the back of my cycling jersey and don't have to undress to lower my cycling bibs. The pStyle slips right into place. It does make urinating in strange circumstances much easier!

Easy to use (with pants on) and clean

Bought a pStyle for a backpacking trip in combination with a Kula cloth. It came as described and shipping was fast. Highly recommend to anyone who usually sits to pee for backpacking, road trips, gross public restrooms, using squat toilets to pee without squatting. For backpackers: it is very lightweight and IMO worth the grams; I brought a Kula cloth to make sure the squeegee action didn't miss any liquid and for half-asleep middle of the night trips. I wiped the pStyle dry after each use and stored it in the plastic non-airtight bag it comes in; that worked really well. Usage tips: I practiced at home first just in case but I never had any mess; be sure to lean forward to make sure the stream is easily directed down the chute. You can hold it under a water stream in the sink to see what I mean. If you're concerned, try it in the shower then into a toilet with your clothes on to practice your aim and feel confident using it.

    Awesome and very easy

The product is sturdy and shapped in a way that it is super easy and intuitive on how to use it. Was successful the first time using with no mess! The hardest part is letting your mind go and allowing yourself to pee standing up!

    I bought a second!

I'm an RVer and hiker, and I don't love when I can't find a spot to squat when I'm I outside around others. The pStyle makes easy for me to go, even when there are people around. I'm way less conspicuous. I just bought a second pStyle: one to keep in my RV, and one to keep in my hiking backpack.

    pStyle

I was very concerned about using public restrooms while traveling during the pandemic. With pStyle, I was able to use rest stops along the highway during a long road trip with complete safety. Highly recommended!

    Worked Great!

This product is incredibly easy to use. I had no "accidents" unlike other stand-to-pee devices. You can use it with underwear and pants on (at least with stretchy pants) without any problems and there is very little mess. I highly recommend this for any women/trans men who are going to be out in nature without toilets. I now have the confidence to do long hikes while still drinking lots of water!

Solution for winter sports and backpacking

Posted by Betsi on 11th Sep 2020

I love my pStyle, and have been using them for years, after my sister did a systematic review of all products on the market and determined that this one is the best. I have used some others and I agree with her assessment. So easy to use! It saves my bum from freezing when I'm skiing or doing other outdoor winter sports and need to pee. I use it on summer outdoor trips too, because using it to wipe off drips saves my underwear and reduces/removes need for TP. For whitewater boating I often wear a dry suit. I have a men's drysuit (front pee zipper) because the pStyle is so effective.

    pStyle

I showed this to a male friend who couldn't understand my excitement about it. I said, "That's because you've never had to drop your pants and squat way down, try to keep your balance, hold that pose until you finish, then rise up on aching knees, and finally pull up your pants again!" He stared at me. "No, I haven't...and I never gave it any thought before now, but yeah, putting it that way, no wonder you're excited!" :-) Best thing next to what nature might have provided you. Thanks, pStyle!

    Great for Camping

Posted by Roy on 10th Sep 2020

Worked like a charm the first time! And second, and third... The design is easy to hold and fit in the right place. Now I really do prefer the hard plastic material over soft STPs, because I FEEL that a leak-proof seal has been created with my anatomy. The pStyle's material is very smooth and hydrophobic, and easy to clean. It's so lightweight, which is important to me as a frequent camper/hiker. Highly recommend.
